The Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet (EPPC) is the regulatory agency that enforces Kentucky’s environmental regulations. The agency attempts to balances the demands of promoting economic growth and fostering environmental protection and enhancing Kentucky’s abundant natural resources. The EPPC consists of four departments: Department for Environmental Protection, Department for Natural Resources, Department of Public Protection, and Department of Labor.
